Peebles Media Group, Scotland’s leading independent publisher is looking for a production assistant to join its busy production department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling the flow of advertising copy across our B2B and consumer titles. This is mostly an admin-based role however a basic interest in design or creative and print industries would be advantageous.
The candidate must demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and be able to work on his/her own initiative. A keen eye for detail is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines.
The role involves: Chasing a high volume of advertising copy and overseeing the progress of this copy through its different stages/departments and dealing with any delays or problems that may arise.
Briefing, and working closely with the in-house graphic design department, submitting ideas and suggestions to ensure final copy is accurate and appeals to the target readership, and the client.
Liaising with the editorial, sales, and design departments, as well as external customers to gain sign-off on creative.
Proofreading of advertisements, publications and exhibition literature.

Peebles Media Group is looking to appoint dynamic and self-motivated Advertisement Sales Executives to join the sales teams of their market-leading magazines to further develop the print and digital advertisement revenue.
The positions available are part-time and full time on Scottish Licensed Trade News (SLTN), Homes & Interiors Scotland and Tie the Knot Scotland.
Based in Glasgow, Peebles Media Group is one of Scotland’s leading independent media companies with a wide range of market-leading magazines, as well as an events division that holds several annual key industry awards and trade events.
The successful candidates will join existing sales teams and be responsible for developing accounts and generating new business in the print magazines and their related digital platforms.
The roles require confident, methodical and assertive sales executives who can demonstrate the desire to succeed and previous success in a commercial telesales environment.
Being highly organised self-starters, you will be able to work under pressure to strict print deadlines and exceed set revenue targets.
Previous media sales experience is preferred, but not essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
